Theme night at Yalumba, Le Meridien

We were recently invited to try the Yalumba theme nights at Le Meridien, now I've mostly been to Warehouse in Le Meridien (good drinks, nice vibe and chilled out atmosphere) so we were quite excited to try out a new restaurant there.

The service is the first thing you notice while walking into Yalumba, welcoming smiles, happy to help attitude. A very warm welcome as we walked into the restaurant.

Let's go to my favourite part: the food! We dined here on a Wednesday night which was the Arabian theme night. It consisted of items like a live shawarma counter, fresh seafood, lentil soups, ouzi and sweet endings with kunafa and umm ali.

I started our dinner with this perfect lentil soup, dash of lime and crispy pita. Honestly the soup was so good, creamy and thick, I couldn't eat much after this but the soup was so delicious!

M opted for some cold cuts, cheese (M actually liked the blue cheese) and fresh salmon.

For the mains we opted to try the lamb ouzi which was absolutely divine, the meat so tender and tearing apart so easily from the bone.

For the desserts, I loved the texture of the cheesecake but the real highlight was the chocolate cake, if you love chocolate this would be it.

As signature holds, we ended the meal with a cafe latte. Did I mention I absolutely love the cutlery here!
