One of our getaway's: Stay-cation at Nour Arjaan, Fujairah

As a married couple, a stay-cation is really required. You don't think it is until you actually go on the stay-cation and detox yourself from the world. well that's exactly what happened to J and me.

A few weeks back we decided to "getaway" - we thought of travelling to another GCC just for a few days - unwind- relax and hit the routine life again.

I got lucky since this was the same time that Nour Arjaan invited me for a stay-cation in Fujairah, now I've been to Fujairah before and besides their City center I haven't really seen much so I didn't know what to expect.

First impressions -

My name on the phone - attention to detail, a trademark of all Rotana hotels.

We were offered a one bedroom premium suite, and premium it was! The living room was spacious with an area set aside to dine at the table. A perfect location to the open kitchen. There are about 225 rooms in the hotel perfected to the needs of the guest. I would however highly recommend the premium suite (perfect for a family of four).

The kitchen area is what made me fall in love with the suite - all the kitchen appliances that every foodie loves! Well stocked with a cutting board, knives set, cheese grater, strainer and cutlery - suddenly I felt like making pasta! This is perfect for someone who'd like to stay for a longer time and loves to cook.

Our bathroom was well stocked, and amenities were easily available on request -

I'm happy Rotana is taking the step too ensure a better tomorrow with Rotana Earth, the below is just one of their steps -

Lunch and breakfast was had at Murjan cafe and restaurant - the service and variety was simply outstanding. For anyone who thinks Fujairah would have less to offer compared to the glitz and glamour of Dubai (me included) will be easily proven wrong.

The perfectly freshly squeezed orange juice.

The well done fish and veggies

The breakfast options were just as endless as well, personally we loved the pancakes         with the freshly imported honey. We were instantly turned to children when we saw         the "coco pops" and "frosties" corn flakes with cold milk.

The fresh omelette made at the live station served with crispy turkey bacon strips was just as delicious.

The freshly baked selection

J loved the freshly baked croissants which went perfectly well with the selection of cheese available.

Relaxing -

The pool, sauna and steam room were a perfect way to relax, I'm so used to the pool being overly-crowded in Dubai, that this was a pleasant surprise, semi- empty pool with just a few guests dining at the pool's cafe. We ended the night relaxing in the sauna and steam room, the Bodylines staff were very helpful and friendly. It was also great to see the life-guard on duty even though it was late.

Verdict: To get away from the noise of the Dubai and unwind, Nour Arjaan provided us a perfect getaway. An amazing way to getaway without really going to far and perfect for families and couples.

Our stay including breakfast the next day was within the range of AED 600.00. Wi-fi is approx AED 72.00 per day.
