Our Abu Dhabi getaway (Part 2) : Breakfast at Urban bites
On a very dusty Saturday morning J and I got an invite to Urban bites, in our opinion a very chic and casual cafe - serving perfect options for breakfast and lunch.
Glass doors, ample space and some very funky colours of their furniture makes this place a perfect getaway spot for a lunch break or a refreshing morning breakfast - which is exactly what we were here for.
We started with a hot cafe latte, a chocomellow, the sausage and egg bagel and the traditional Emarati breakfast. The Emarati breakfast was something we had never tried before - we loved the chebab with the date jam (so rich and sweet) and cream cheese. The bagel may look a normal size but just a half is so filling. The bagel was toasted to perfection - a perfect way to start the day!
We were also offered to try the avocado, strawberry and spinach salad topped with pepper vinaigrette. I loved the mix of the greens with the onions and strawberry, however I'm not a fan of pumpkin seeds or gorgonzola cheese.
Steer clear of the table counter if you don't want to be tempted (I couldn't resist) which is where I found this perfect cookie. There are also other options like croissants, cakes and pies.
Tazita (one of our very friendly servers) recommended we also try the date latte from here which I must say is something different and really nice, infused with cardamom - a refreshing and rich shake.
Overall, Urban bites is a great spot to go to not only for a relaxed meal but even for a healthier option for when your on the go.
