Food review for Chopstix - Marco Polo hotel

Firstly, its really shocking that a hotel makes you pay for valet service even if you dine in it's restaurants. The valet service charges AED 10.00.

Anyhow coming to the restaurant side of it, we were a group of 7 people and we were seated at a really nice table right in the center of the hotel which had a stream of water running through it.

Ambience: The restaurant is located on the M floor, and is quite spacious. It's welcoming for all groups of people - couples, families and large groups as well.

Food: J and me ordered the Sczhewan noodles and the Fish in coconut and and Thai green sauce. Our friends ordered the Schzewan fried rice, pearl chicken, chicken hakka noodles and prawn chilli dry. The schzewan noodles was super spicy but the Thai fish complemented IT beautiful (recommendation by the waiter actually). The fish was cooked to tender and the sauce reduced the spice of the noodles quite a bit. We found the pearl chicken a little too sweet for our palate (it reminded me of sticky chicken). overall, there was not one complaint for the food. Each portion could easily be split among two people and was quite sufficient.

For the dessert, we ordered 2 fried ice cream's and a honey noodles with vanilla ice cream and sesame seeds. The desserts were really upto the mark esp the honey fried noodles. it was the perfect sweet ending to a delicious dinner.

Service: The service of this restaurant is really good, nothing outstanding but very courteous and attentive to all the tables . The food took awhile to come but the desserts came fairly quickly.

Pricing: The total bill came upto AED 231.00 since of the guests had an Emirates discount card (which reduced our bill by AED 60/-) which is pretty decent for the place and the quality of the food.

Overall - 7.50/10
